Former chairman of Shippers' Council of Bangladesh (SCB) M R Ali died at a hospital in the capital on Saturday (September 1).
He was 77. He was buried at Mohammadpur graveyard.
He left behind his wife, one son, two daughters, a host of relatives and admirers to mourn his death.
He had served as chairman of the SCB from 1994 to 1999.
He was also chairman of M/s. Orbital Inspection Service Ltd., chairman of Central Insurance Company Ltd, and sponsor member of Baridhara Cosmopolitan Club Ltd.
SCB chairman and its directors and members have expressed their deep shock at his demise and conveyed condolences to the bereaved family members.
They prayed to the Almighty for eternal peace of the departed soul.
His Qulkhwani will be held on Friday (September 7) after Asr prayers at his residence at plot no 04, Road 10, Baridhara.
