SYLHET, Oct 31: The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) will extend all necessary assistance to the investors in setting up industries in Sylhet region to spur industrialisation, said its president Md Shafiul Islam (Mohiuddin).
He said it is unfortunate that there had been no industrialisation in Sylhet although there are huge fallow lands in this region in addition to other facilities like gas.
There are huge potentials for setting up industrial units in different sectors like tourism and Agar, he added.
He called on entrepreneurs to come forward to accelerate the industrialisation in this region.
The FBCCI president was speaking as the chief guest at a reception accorded to former presidents and vice-presidents of the Sylhet Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) at its conference hall in the city on Tuesday.
