Underprivileged children are all-smiles as the kids and high officials of NOVOAIR are posing for photo during seven years celebration of the airlines which flew the kids to Cox's Bazar from Dhaka on Tuesday and returned to the capital from the beach town free of cost on the same day by a flight titled 'Flight Fantasy' with the aircraft that carried the children seen in the background — photo collected

It became a dream come true for underprivileged children. NOVOAIR, a leading privately-owned airlines of the country, carried 20 underprivileged children from the capital to the beach town of Cox's Bazar in one of its regular flights free of cost fulfilling their desire that the poor kids harboured for a long time.

The airlines carried the 20 children to Cox's Bazar for a pleasure trip on Tuesday as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) on the occasion of celebrating its 7th anniversary.

The kids rejoiced in amazement when they started their journey titled 'Flight Fantasy' to the resort town on the flight from Dhaka at 8:00am. They returned to the capital the same day at 5:40pm. The children spent a delightful time at Cox's Bazar sea beach and the Radiant fish world, the biggest aquarium in Bangladesh.

Tamjid Islam, a student of class six, described the trip as 'a dream come true'.

"I never imagined about traveling to the longest beach by an aeroplane. Thanks to NOVOAIR for fulfilling my dream," he said.

Echoing him, Tamjid's fellow traveller Umme Habiba said that it was a great feeling to fly over the clouds.

"We played on the beach, went to the fish world and saw different species of fishes. This trip is like a dream come true for me," she added.

In the afternoon, children took part in a programme where NOVOAIR Managing Director Mofizur Rahman handed over them gifts.

Mr Mofiz said that they took such initiatives as part of their social responsibility. "It is a small initiative to entertain them (children). They will be pilots, aircraft engineers or cabin crew in future and work for NOVOAIR," he said.

"As part of NOVOAIR's social responsibility, we distribute free medicines to destitute people, also we sponsor sports and various events on a regular basis," he mentioned.

NOVOAIR operates daily flights from Dhaka to Cox's Bazar, Chattogram, Saidpur, Jashore, Sylhet, Barishal, Rajshahi and Kolkata.
