Geocycle, SCC join hands for solid waste management

SYLHET: Geocycle and Sylhet City Corporation (SCC) signed a Memoran-dum of Understanding (MoU) on Wednesday for sustainable municipal waste management in the Sylhet municipality area, says a press release.
Under this MoU, Geocycle will dispose of the solid waste of the city corporation on a trial basis. Both the parties will enter into a long term agreement upon successful completion of the trial.
Ariful Haque Choud-hury, Mayor, SCC, and Asif Bhuiyan, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer & HR Director of Lafarge Holcim Bangladesh Ltd. (LHBL), signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organisations.
Kaushik Mukherjee, Head of Geocycle, Bidhayak Roy Chowdhury, Chief Executive Officer (Additional Secretary), and Nur Azizur Rahman, Chief Engineer of SCC, were present along with other high officials from both the organizations during the signing ceremony held in a Sylhet hotel.
