German industrial output rises modestly in May

BERLIN, July 07 (AFP): German industrial production continued on an upward curve in May, despite supply difficulties and soaring energy costs caused by the war in Ukraine, official data showed on Thursday.
Factory output was up 0.2 per cent from the previous month, federal statistics agency Destatis calculated, after already rising by 1.3 per cent in April.
