\\\'Govt achieves tremendous success in development\\\'

RANGPUR, Mar 22 (BSS):  The present government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has already achieved tremendous success in development of every sector in the process of building a middle income Bangladesh by 2021.
Member of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges Nazmul Hoque Prodhan said this at a discussion arranged at Jagdal High School ground under Sadar upazila in Panchagarh on Saturday night as the chief guest.
The District Information Office of Panchagarh organised the discussion on "Success achieved by the government and informing the people on the future development plans for involving them with uplift activities" to further accelerate national uplift.
Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Panchagarh Laila Muntejari Deena presided over the discussion participated by the students, teachers, community leaders, entrepreneurs of the union information service centres (UISCs), NGO workers and local elites.
Central leader of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) Emran Al Amin, General Secretary of its Panchagarh district unit JSD Abdus Sattar, Assistant Superintendent of Police Rokanuzzaman, Headmaster of Jagdal High School Golam Mostafa Prodhan, Satmara union chairman Enamul Haque and journalist Shahidul Islam addressed as the special guests.
District Information Officer of Panchagarh Shariful Islam delivered the welcome speech narrating the huge successes achieved by the government in every sector during the past six years.
He said the government has achieved success in education, health, agriculture, power generation, victory over sea, women and children development, climate change adaptation, poverty alleviation, self-employment, earning through outsourcing and spreading ICT.
He elaborated unprecedented success in social safety net, food security, combating corruptions, institutionalising democracy, good governance, family planning, nutrition, infrastructures, housing, rooting out terrorism, militancy and during the period.
The chief guest discussed the tremendous success achieved by the government in the digitisation programme, charter of changes and Vision 2021 to accelerate the pace of development in building a middle income nation ahead of the year 2021.
He said the union information service centres (UISCs), upazila and district web portals, digitised service providing devices have been reaching all government services easily to the people's doorsteps at the lowest costs making civic life easier.
Besides, successful functioning of UISCs and other service providing web portals have already turned the digitisation process into an irreversible part of civic life making people dependant on the digital facilities to accelerate the development in every sector.
