Govt launches TTCs to increase skilled manpower


The government has launched three Technical Training Centres (TTCs) to increase skilled manpower for employment at home and abroad. Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment (EWOW) Minister Nurul Islam inaugurated the TTCs through a video conferencing at his ministry on Tuesday. The TTCs have been set up in Manikganj, Narail and Satkhira districts. Both the males and females will be allowed to take part in different types of training in these TTCs. The minister said there is no alternative to increase skilled manpower for the country's development. He also said that the government is working sincerely to ensure safe migration. Director General of the Bureau of Manpower Employment and Training (BMET) Salim Reza presided over the programme while EWOW Acting Secretary Rownaq Jahan and Additional Secretary Aminul Islam, among others, were present.
