Govt making guidelines for 4G licence

The government is preparing guideline for providing 4G (Fourth Generation) licences aimed at further development of telecommunication sector in the country.
Road Transport and Bridges Minister, also in charge of the Posts, Telecommunications and ICT Ministry in Parliament, Obaidul Quader said this while replying to a question from treasury bench member Begum Sanjida Khanam in the Jatiya Sangsad (JS) on Tuesday, reports BSS.
In reply to a question from treasury bench member Begum Washika Aysha Khan, the minister told the House that optical fibre cable and transmission machineries are being set up along nearly 11,000 kilometres in 1006 Union Parishads (UPs) of 98 upazilas under 64 districts.
