The government is going to open six new commercial wings at the Bangladesh mission in six countries to boost trade.

The new commercial wings would start operation from the next fiscal to attain the export target of US$ 50 billion by 2021 through diversifying the export basket.

Talking to BSS, Shubhashish Bose, vice chairman of Export Promotion Bureau (EPB), said, "We've decided to open commercial wings in Kunming of China, South Korea, Singapore, Turkey, Geneva of Switzerland and South Africa considering the trade potentiality."

Besides, the commercial wing in Iran would be shut down as that country is facing difficulties in commerce and trade due to the sanction imposed by USA. Currently, Bangladesh has 19 commercial wings in 17 countries, of which two each in US and India.
