Govt works relentlessly to attain economic progress: Muhith

FARIDPUR, Sept 14 (BSS): Finance Minister AMA Muhith said here today that our present government of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is working relentlessly for attaining economic progress so that we can come out from the curse of poverty as soon as possible.

We need to make tremendous economic work in the economic field with the object of attaining self-reliant as well as to achieve the target of becoming prosperous country by 2041, he asserted.

The finance minister said this while inaugurating as the chief guest the 15-day football tournament of Khondoker Nurul Hossain Nuru Mia Gold Cup Football Tournament here at the newly-reconstructed Sheikh Jamal stadium.

In an oblique reference to BNP chief Khaleda Zia's threat to wage movement, Mr Muhit said that people want peace and prosperity and we are working in that area with strong determination so the threat of movement will not work here no more.
