Bdjobs.com arranges IT and AI Job Fair at the auditorium of Krishibid Institution Bangladesh in Farmgate on Wednesday.

The unemployment rate among graduates in Bangladesh is significantly higher than the national average, highlighting a substantial mismatch between the skills produced by the education system and the demands of the job market.
At the same time, disruptive technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) have already begun transforming workplaces, particularly affecting entry-level positions in the information technology sector.
The observations came at the opening ceremony of the daylong IT and AI Job Fair organised by job portal Bdjobs.com at the Krishibid Institution Bangladesh (KIB) auditorium in Farmgate on Wednesday.
The formal opening session was chaired by Bdjobs Founder and Chief Executive Officer Fahim Mashroor while its top officials including Director of Marketing Prokash Roy Chowdhury, and HR representatives from different hiring companies were present.
Speaking on the occasion, Fahim Mashroor said according to estimates, about 50 to 60 percent of graduates do not find any job for two to three years after completing their studies.
"Compared to overall unemployment, the unemployment rate among our young graduate group is almost five to six times higher than that of non-graduates," he said.
The gathering attracted a highly diverse group of participants, including approximately 10,000 ambitious IT job seekers and professionals, alongside representatives from over 100 local and multinational employers aiming to recruit 2,000 new staff.
Eminent IT experts, including the country's leading software architect Shah Ali Newaj Topu, participated as key speakers and moderators for the specialized professional seminars.
The fair featured two dedicated learning sessions titled "Agentic Software Development" and "The AI Content Method".
Furthermore, the event facilitated a completely digital application process via QR code scanning and hosted practical test interviews for over 300 fresh graduates.
