Green Delta launches training institute in association with CII, UK

Green Delta Insurance Company Limited Monday launched a training institute named 'Professional Advancement Bangladesh Limited (PABL)' in association with Chartered Insurance Association (CII), UK.

The institute will impart demand-based trainings to the employees of Green Delta Insurance as well as external stakeholders. The company is governed by an Advisory Board comprises of a group of knowledgeable, experienced and reputed personalities from the insurance industry of Bangladesh.

Chairman of Insurance Development and Regulatory Authority (IDRA), M Shefaque Ahmed, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest while Sheikh Kabir Hossain, President of Bangladesh Insurance Association (BIA) was the special guest of the ceremony.

Addressing the event, Advisor of Green Delta Insurance and Chairman of Professional Advancement Bangladesh Limited Mr. Nasir A Choudhury said, "We have been creating professionals since the very beginning at Green Delta Insurance and with the formation of PABL, we can now offer a strong platform for professional development of financial sector specially the insurance sector."

Farzana Chowdhury, Managing Director & CEO of Green Delta Insurance who is also the Director of PABL said, "The insurance sector always felt the need of a professional training institute like this and it has been a dream for us to launch the same. With the launch of this training institute, professionals from the different financial institutes all over the country can advance their career further by being enrolled in a course offered by PABL."

Later, a MoU signing ceremony was held at the launching ceremony between Green Delta Insurance and CII, UK.

Under this MoU, courses offered by CII will be available for the students of PABL in Bangladesh.

CII is a professional organisation for those working in the insurance and financial services industry. Ms. Margaret Mary West, Head of Corporate Support, Chartered Insurance Institute, UK; Mr. Sainesh Dar, Head of Corporate Development, Chartered Insurance Institute, India; Ms. Zainab Fidai, Project Manager Chartered Insurance Institute, India; Mr. Justin Davies, Director of Trade and Investments, British High Commission were also present at the ceremony.
