May 10, 2014 00:00:00

The embassies of Denmark and Sweden will be hosting a Nordic trade delegation on green growth from May 19  to 23.

20 Danish companies and 2 Swedish companies have confirmed their participation in the delegation. All these companies are looking forward to forming partnerships with local Bangladeshi companies, according to a statement.

The Danish and Swedish embassies will organise a matchmaking session on May 20 where the Nordic and Bangladeshi companies can have one-to-one meetings and discuss potential business opportunities between them. The embassies are currently contacting local companies to set up meetings for the Nordic companies.

Out of the 22 Nordic companies, 7 are experts in various forms of energy efficiency and sustainable design, e.g. cooling systems, hybrid power, insulation and recycling, 2 have expertise in the development of maritime equipment, 3 are looking for partners with an interest in water treatment, handling of wastewater and water conservation solutions, and 2 have extensive knowledge of agriculture and biogas. The 8 others have expertise in varied areas, e.g. with pipe and sewage systems, printing on textile, electricity and within the steel industry.
