HSBC, MAERSK TEAM UP TO DIGITISE FREIGHT COLLECTIONS

The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited (HSBC) has collaborated with Maersk Bangladesh Limited, one of the leading companies in the shipping industry, to digitalise their freight collection via the state-of-the-art Omni Collect solution of HSBC. Amor Bin Nasir, Head of Finance and Accounting, Maersk Bangladesh, and Newaz Musharraf, Country Head of Global Payments Solutions, HSBC Bangladesh, signed an agreement to this end. Manoj Dugar, Regional Co-Head Global Payments Solutions, along with other distinguished officials from both the organisations attended the ceremony. This collaboration enables Maersk Bangladesh to receive their freight charge through digital channels into their HSBC accounts along with detailed reports of the collected amounts via internet banking.
