ICMAB chief off to UK

President of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) Mohammed Salim left the city for United Kingdom Monday for exchanging views on bilateral issues and mutual cooperation with different global professional accounting bodies, said a statement.

 A meeting had been scheduled with the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) Tuesday.

The ICMAB is expecting to get maximum waiver from the CIPFA certification for the ICMAB members. Another meeting is scheduled with Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) UK today (Wednesday) to discuss about the progress on twinning project where CIMA UK will provide advisory services to ICMAB regarding curriculum development of ICMAB, preparation of study materials, code of corporate governance for ICMAB, training modules for the teachers, examination and education system of ICMAB, and other relevant development issues. Mohammed Salim is expected to return tome on September 19.
