ICMAB's CBC holds confce on 'Future Outlook of BD Economy' tomorrow

The ICMAB's CBC annual conference on "Future Outlook of Bangladesh Economy: FDI, Financial Reforms & LDC Graduation" will be held at Radisson Blu Chattogram Bay View tomorrow (Friday).

The event which will begin at 9:00 am and end at 5:00 pm aims to explore the evolving economic landscape of Bangladesh, with special emphasis on foreign direct investment, financial sector reforms, and strategies for a sustainable transition from LDC status. Chattogram Branch Council (CBC) of ICMAB will organise the event, says a press release.

Lutfey Siddiqi, Chief Adviser's Special Envoy on International Affairs, will attend the conference as the chief guest.

Distinguished special guests include Md. Abdur Rahman Khan, Secretary, Internal Resources Division (IRD) and Chairman of NBR, Rear Admiral S. M. Moniruzzaman, Chairman, Chittagong Port Authority, and Ahmed Shaheen, Additional Managing Director (AMD), Eastern Bank PLC.

GCFO and Company Secretary of Seven Rings Cement Md. Kausar Alam, also Director of Janata Bank and Vice-President of ICMAB, will present the theme paper.

The technical session will feature two thought-provoking research presentations by esteemed resource persons: Dr. Khondaker Golam Moazzem, Research Director, Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD), and Dr. S. M. Sohrab Uddin, Professor, Department of Finance, University of Chittagong.

A significant number of participants from government and semi-government sectors, financial institutions, corporate organisations, academia, and a large number of fellow and associate members and students of ICMAB are expected to be present, making the programme one of the most engaging intellectual platforms of the year.
