IDCOL supports ICS Testing Lab at BUET to boost clean cooking innovation

IDCOL and the Department of Chemical Engineering (DChE) at BUET inaugurated the 'IDCOL-DChE, BUET ICS Laboratory' on the BUET campus in Dhaka on Monday. Alamgir Morshed, Executive Director & CEO of IDCOL, Md. Enamul Karim Pavel, Head of Renewable Energy at IDCOL, and Professor Shoeb Ahmed and Professor Md. Mominur Rahman of BUET attended the inaugural ceremony. The laboratory's primary focus is to assess particulate and gaseous air pollutant emissions, energy efficiency, safety, and durability of cookstoves. This collaboration between IDCOL and BUET aims to address the critical need for a globally recognised testing facility. Once ISO-certified, the lab will facilitate carbon credit registration for clean cooking projects in Bangladesh.
