IDRA signs two MoUs with Dhaka University and Brac University

The Insurance Development and Regulatory Authority (IDRA) signed two separate Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) on Thursday at its headquarters, aiming to strengthen academic collaboration and capacity building in the insurance sector, says a press release.
The first MoU was signed between IDRA and Brac University. IDRA Chairman Dr. M Aslam Alam and Ariful Islam, treasurer of Brac University, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective institutions.
On the same day, IDRA also signed another MoU with the Department of Banking and Insurance, University of Dhaka. Dr. M Aslam Alam and Professor Md. Shahidul Islam Zahid, chairman of the Department of Banking and Insurance, University of Dhaka, formally signed the MoU.
The agreements are expected to promote cooperation in areas such as academic research, training, knowledge sharing, internships and joint initiatives to develop skilled human resources for the insurance sector.
Senior officials from IDRA and faculty members from both the universities were also present at the signing ceremonies.
