IIDFC gets new chairman

Md Ataur Rahman Prodhan, CEO & Managing Director of Sonali Bank Limited, has been elected chairman of the Industrial and Infrastructure Development Finance Company (IIDFC) for 2022 and 2023, says a statement.

The Board of Directors of the IIDFC has also elected Syed Mahbubur Rahman, Managing Director & CEO of Mutual Trust Bank Limited, and Selim R F Hussain, Managing Director & CEO of BRAC Bank Limited, its vice chairman and Executive Committee (EC) chairman respectively for the same period.

Md. Ataur Rahman Prodhan is a director of IIDFC. He is a senior banker of the country. Earlier, he worked as managing director & CEO of Rupali Bank Limited and Probashi Kollyan Bank.

He is also a member of the Board of Directors of ICB, Padma Bank Limited and CDBL. He holds the position of vice chairman at the Institute of Bankers Bangladesh (IBB) and the Association of Bankers, Bangladesh (ABB).

Syed Mahbubur Rahman is a director of IIDFC. He is a prominent banker of the country. Earlier, he worked as managing director & CEO of Dhaka Bank Limited and BRAC Bank Limited. He is an ex-chairman of the Association of Bankers, Bangladesh (ABB).

Selim R F Hussain is a director of IIDFC. Earlier, he worked as managing director & CEO of IDLC Finance Limited, a leading financial institution of the country. He is also the chairman of Association of Bankers, Bangladesh (ABB).
