Industries Adviser Adilur Rahman Khan said on Saturday that the industrial sector would get priority in getting gas supply after resolving the ongoing supply crunch aiming to keep industrial productivity run.
He also promised to take steps to move forward the country's leather and ship recycling sectors.
He disclosed the information to the media after meeting officials at his ministry in the capital.
The adviser also said that they would work to reduce the extent of financial losses by the industries.
Proper initiatives would be taken to make profitable the losing concerns under the industries ministry.
"There will be no corruption in the ministry of industries. We have no way but to be strict in controlling corruption because we take the responsibility by shedding a lot of bloods. No question about the recurrence of corruption," he said with a positive and adamant tone.
Adilur said that they would also take initiative to resolve the problem in producing fertiliser locally to reduce the country's dependency on import aiming to save huge foreign currencies.
Industries Secretary Jakia Sultana and other high officials were present during the period.
