Int'l edn expo held in city

A daylong international education expo was held in the capital city on Wednesday aiming to help Bangladeshi students explore study opportunities at globally renowned universities and educational institutions.
Organised by the Eduko Pathways Bangladesh, the event titled Eduko International Education Expo 2026 brought together more than 90 leading universities and colleges from around the world under one roof at the MIDAS Convention Centre in Dhanmondi.
The expo showcased internationally recognised institutions, including Australia's prestigious Group of Eight, Canada's leading public universities, top-ranked UK institutions, renowned American universities, and highly respected Malaysian higher education providers. This diversity allowed students to compare educational systems, tuition structures, scholarship opportunities, and career outcomes in one convenient location.
During a visit to the venue, it was found that the event attracted aspiring undergraduate and postgraduate students, parents, educators, and career counsellors eager to explore study opportunities across the world's most sought-after destinations.
Regional Manager (Bangladesh) of the University of Newcastle in Australia, Md Yousuf, said they joined the expo so that they can recruit eligible students.
Highlighting the importance of holding such an event, he said: "This has been a win-win situation for the students and universities to gather information under one roof."
Visitors received first-hand guidance on admissions, scholarships, visa requirements, tuition fees, career prospects, post-study work opportunities, and application procedures without intermediary barriers.
