Int'l tourism fair begins Oct 30

The Biman Bangladesh Travel and Tourism Fair (BTTF) 2025 is set to begin at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre in the city on October 30.

A total of 12 countries will take part in the three-day event which will be organised by the Tour Operators Association of Bangladesh (TOAB).

National tourism organisations and associations from Pakistan, Nepal, and Bhutan will participate in the event alongside tour operators and travel agents from Maldives, Singapore, Vietnam, China, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Malaysia and Turkey. The state-owned Biman Bangladesh Airlines is the title sponsor of the fair.

The 13th edition of the BTTF will remain open to visitors from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm daily. Entry tickets are priced at Tk 50 each, while students, freedom fighters and July fighters will be granted free entry. The information was revealed at a press conference held at a hotel in Dhaka on Tuesday.

TOAB President Md Rafeuzzaman presided over the event, while TOAB Director (Trade & Fair) Md Taslim Amin Shovon briefed the press on the fair's background and overall preparations. The fair will host 220 stalls across 20 pavilions in four halls.

The press conference was also attended by Ashwani Nayar, Area General Manager of IHG South West Asia and Gold Partner of BTTF 2025; Shahid Hamid, Executive Director of Regency Hotel & Resort Ltd, the hospitality partner; and representatives from bKash, the payment partner.
