Int\\\'l workshop on microfinance begins today

A two-day international workshop, titled "Promoting Microfinance for Economic Development in IORA Region", begins in the city today (Wednesday), reports UNB.

The event will be held at Palli Karma Sahayak Foundation (PKSF) as part of sustainable development programme of Indian Ocean Rim Association (IORA).

Twenty representatives of IORA member states are expected to participate in the workshop, said an official in the city  on Tuesday.

Finance minister AMA Muhith will attend the inaugural ceremony of the two-day workshop organised in collaboration with foreign ministry and PKSF.
