IT firm rolls out online meeting app

A Bangladeshi information technology (IT) firm has launched an online meeting application with more localised features.

The app, 'Priyo Meet', is expected to facilitate users' communication needs during the pandemic and ensure better privacy security since it uses encrypted video platform, said the IT company, Priyo, in a statement on Tuesday.

Features of this video conference tool includes meeting continuation with unlimited number of participants, unrestricted timeframe, high definition video & audio, encrypted data and screen sharing, it said.

The infrastructure facility required for the platform hosted in Dhaka also ensures better security for the users unlike other foreign apps, the statement added. It said the people in the country are presently using a number of foreign video conference platforms amid risk of privacy violation.

The 'Priyo Meet' is currently available as beta version for all operating systems like android, iOS and web. A user will require opening an account from the webpage of priyomeet.com.
