Information Technology Consultants Limited held an Extraordinary General Meeting virtually on Wednesday, with its Chairman Lim Kiah Meng in the chair. The shareholders of the Information Technology Consultants (ITC) Limited have approved a decision to purchase a piece of land valued at about Tk 350 million, located at Tejgaon Industrial Area in Dhaka.
The approval came at an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) of the company held virtually on Wednesday, says a press release.
The company will construct a hi-tech multi-storied building on the land, which will be named 'ITC Tower'.
The total cost of the project is estimated at Tk 2.80 billion, including land value, construction cost, multiple state-of-the-art data centres and other relevant equipment.
The company will finance Tk 760 million from the company's own source and the remaining Tk 2.04 billion will come from bank financing under term loan in phases.
Lim Kiah Meng, Chairman of the company, presided over the meeting attended by Dr Kazi Saifuddin Munir, Managing Director & CEO; Md Kamal Uddin, FCA, Independent Director; Dasgupta Asim Kumar, Independent Director; Shyamal Kanti Karmakar, CFO; and Anindya Sarkar FCS, Company Secretary.
