Jamuna Oil gets new MD

Mustafa Qudrat-E-Elahi has been appointed managing director of the state-owned Jamuna Oil Company Limited (JOCL).

The Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC) has made the new appointment after removing JOCL Managing Director Md Gias Uddin Ansary.

Mr Ansary had been serving the entity since September 2018.

The decision about the new appointment came from a meeting of the BPC selection committee on Wednesday.

Mr Elahi joined the Jamuna Oil Company Ltd on Thursday. Earlier, he worked as senior general manager (Commercial and Operation) for the BPC.

The JOCL has been involved with marketing of petroleum products over the past five decades.
