Japan to host WEF special meeting in October 2016

DAVOS, Jan 25 (PTI) : Japan will host World Economic Forum's special meeting scheduled to be held in October 2016.  In this regard, a letter of intent was exchanged between WEF Executive Chairman Klaus Schwab and Japanese Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Hakubun Shimomura here on Saturday.

The special meeting, to be held in Japan from October 19-22, 2016, would bring together 2,000 leaders and future leaders from the arts, culture, business, government, academia and civil society as well as representatives of the Forum's Global Shapers and Young Global Leaders communities.
