BEZA inks MoU with Sojitz

Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority (BEZA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sojitz Corporation, a Japanese company, and Energypac Consortium on the preliminary study for setting up Sakura Garden at the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Shilpa Nagar (BSMSN), reports BSS.
BEZA General Manager Md Hasan Arif and Energypac Director Md Nurul Kader inked the agreement at a function at the BEZA headquarters in the city on Thursday, with BEZA Executive Chairman Paban Chowdhury in the chair.
Executive Officer of the Sojitz Corporation Ken Kuribayashi delivered the welcome speech virtually.
Paban Chowdhury said BEZA is very proud to take the initiative to set up Sakura Garden for the first time in Bangladesh.
Once the garden is set up, people of Bangladesh will be able to enjoy the beauty of Sakura flower, he added.
Through the preliminary study, it would be possible to know how to cultivate this flower in the soil of this country, he said.
He also hoped that if the initiative becomes successful, a Sakura Garden would be set up near Sheikh Hasina Sarovar and Superdike in the BSMSN.
