Winners of "2nd JBCCI Business Excellence Award 2019' posing with crests at a function in the capital on Sunday night Japan-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JBCCI) has awarded five member companies in five different categories at the "2nd JBCCI Business Excellence Award 2019.
The awards were distributed at the 15th annual general meeting of JBCCI held at a city hotel Sunday night, according to a press release issued on Monday.
Among the recipients, Walton Hi-Tech Industries Ltd was awarded in the large manufacturing category and Rieko Printing & Packaging (Pvt.) Ltd in the SME manufacturing category.
Among the service-oriented companies, Conveyor Logistics Ltd received the award in the large category and NewVision Solutions Ltd in the SME category. DataSoft Systems Bangladesh Ltd was selected for the award from the innovation category.
JBCCI President Daisuke Arai chaired the AGM and Secretary General Tareq Rafi Bhuiyan (Jun) conducted it.
First Secretary of Japanese Embassy Takashi Shimokyoda attended the event where a message of Japanese Ambassador Hiroyasu Izumi was conveyed.
During the AGM, JBCCI President Daisuke Arai highlighted issues relating to creation of more efficient business environment in Bangladesh.
He said there are 289 Japanese companies now in Bangladesh.
He also introduced Mr. Yuji Ando who would become the next President of JBCCI.
