JS body for overseeing women ICT freelancing, entrepreneur dev

The Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Women and Children Affairs Ministry Thursday asked the ministry concerned to oversee the current progress of the women ICT freelancing and entrepreneur development programme, reports BSS.
The recommendation was made at a meeting of the committee at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban with its chairman Rebeka Momin in the chair, an official release said.
Committee members state minister for Women and Children Affairs Meher Afroz Chumki, Nasrin Jahan Ratna and Fazilatun Nesa attended the meeting.
The committee discussed various progrmmes including skill enhancement training programme for rural women entrepreneurs and the initiatives taken by the Women and Children Affairs.
As part of government move to create skilled workforce, it also made a recommendation for providing technical education of grassroots children side by side general education and ensuring food security for them.
