The parliamentary standing committee on local government, rural development and co-operatives ministry recommended on Sunday to consult local lawmakers (MPs), both in case of general allocation and undertaking projects under local government division (LGD), to make financing of annual development programme (ADP) implementation balanced.
The committee also asked to scrutinize competency of the contracted company to implement the surface water treatment plant of Rajshahi WASA.
In the meeting the steps, undertaken to improve water supply, drainage and sewerage system of Dhaka WASA, were discussed in details.
It recommended establishing 10 new pasteurization treatment plants of Milkvita in the country's southern areas, and quick appointment of manpower in the retired people's posts.
The recommendations came at the committee's 5th meeting at parliament building with its chairman Abul Hasnat Abdullah in the chair.
