JS committee for cancelling licences of non-performing Hajj agencies

The Parliamentary standing committee on the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism Thursday recommended for cancellation of licenses of Hajj agencies who failed to perform properly last year, reports BSS.
The recommendation came while 11th meeting of the committee held at the Jatiyo Sangsad Bhaban in the city with committee chairman Muhammad Faruque Khan in the chair. The committee also discussed other actions so far taken against different Hajj agencies who failed to perform properly last year.
The committee members Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Rashed Khan Menon, Mohammad Nazrul Islam Chowdhury, M Aftabuddin Sarker, Rawshan Ara Mannan, and Sabiha Nahar attended the meeting.
The meeting has given an instruction to submit a detailed report before the committee on development activities of the Shah Amanat International Airport of Chittagong in reference to its stipulated timeframe of completion.
High officials including the secretary of the Civil Aviation and Tourism ministry, chairman of the Board of Directors of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, among others, were present.
