Kamal for attracting more European tourists

Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Shahjahan Kamal has said the Bangladesh government took all kinds of tourism-friendly measures besides ensuring safety and security to attract more foreign tourists, including tourists from different European countries.

The minister made the remark while briefing foreign journalists and international tour operators after inaugurating Bangladesh pavilion at "Borsa International Tourism Fair 2018" in Italy on Sunday, according to a dispatch received in Dhaka from Italy, reports BSS.

The Bangladesh Tourism Board along with a number of local tour operators are taking part in the three-day event where 2,000 companies from nearly 100 countries are exhibiting various products related to travel and leisure.

Shahjahan Kamal said Bangladesh is an exciting tourist destination for all as it has blend of splendid natural beauty and rich cultural and archeological heritages.

The Bangladesh tourism minister also held bilateral talks with Italian Deputy Minister for Heritage and Culture and Tourism Dr Dorina Bianchi and Mayor of Milan Giuseppe Sala to discuss various matters related to interests of the two countries.
