KFC, Pizza Hut, Ambala Inn fined

National Consumer Rights Protection Department has fined 51 fast food shops or restaurants, including well-known brands such as KFC and Pizza Hut, for serving unhygienic food and expired products.
They were slapped with a total fine of Tk 0.55 million (Tk 550,500) during inspections in various districts until Monday noon, Afroza Rahman, an assistant director at National Consumer Rights Protection Department, told bdnews24.com.
"KFC's Dhanmondi outlet was fined Tk 50,000, Pizza Hut Tk 50,000 and Ambala Inn was fined Tk 60,000," she added.
