KFC, Pizza Hut, Boomers fined at Baily Road

A mobile court of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Sunday realised Tk 0.1 million each from three branches of popular eateries KFC, Pizza Hut, Boomers as fine at Baily Road  in the city, reports BSS.
The mobile court headed by executive magistrate Md Moshiur Rahman fined KFC on charges of selling date expired goods and using adulterated oil in different food items while Pizza Hutt was fined for using two chemicals, bolognaise sauce seasoning and extreme seasoning, which have no BSTI approval and license, an official release said.
It also fined Boomers on charges of keeping rotten meat and adulterated food items in refrigerator, it also said.
The eateries gave the fine soon after the court order.
DMP has vowed to continue the drive during the holy month of Ramadan.
