Khulna hi-tech park foundation laid

State Minister for Information and Commu-nication Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak said on Tuesday that a hi-tech park would turn the Khulna industrial area into a technology-dependent hub and create employment opportunities for the youths, reports BSS.
He was speaking at the foundation stone laying ceremony of "Khulna IT / Hi-Tech Park" at Tutpara.
The State Minister and Khulna City Corporation Mayor Talukder Abdul Khaleq jointly laid the foundation stone of the park.
The hi-tech park is being constructed with the Indian government's fund on four acres of land at a cost of Taka 1.70 billion (170 crore), said a press release.
Construction work of the park would be completed within two years and the opening of the park would create employment for 3,000 people and provide training to 1,000 young people every year.
