CHATTOGRAM, July 08: Kim Ji-joon, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Bangladesh, held a courtesy meeting with Rear Admiral S.M. Moniruzzaman, Chairman of the Chittagong Port Authority (CPA), on Wednesday.
The meeting laid emphasis on enhancing mutual cooperation, facilitating trade logistics, and opening up new horizons for investment in Bangladesh.
A key agenda of the meeting was the modernisation of trade infrastructure to attract global capital.
The CPA Chairman stressed the need for the automation and digitalisation of port and customs operations.
Both parties agreed that the collaborative efforts of these two entities would significantly reduce the cost and complexity of doing business, thereby playing a major role in boosting Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in the country.
