Dhaka Water Supply and Sewerage Authority (DWASA) has appointed a Korean consulting farm to rehabilitate and expand a total of 376 kilometers water pipeline under MODS Zone-6. DWASA and the Korean farm - Kunhwa Engineering and Consulting Company Ltd - signed a deal in this regard at a city hotel on Sunday. The project will be implemented in Fakirapool, Malibag, Mogbazar, Mouchak, Rampura and adjacent areas, said a press release. DWASA Managing Director Taqsem A Khan and Bangladesh Representative of Kunhwa Engineering Wui Jae Kim signed the contract. Charge de Affairs of Republic of Korea Embassy Kim Hyun Joo was present on the occasion as the guest of honour. Asian Development Bank (ADB) will finance the project, which will start from next month and will continue for the next 42 months.
