Kosovo wants to boost trade, investment relations with BD

Kosovo's newly-appointed Ambassador in Dhaka Guner Ureya placed proposal to sign agreement with Bangladesh to boost up bilateral trade and investment, reports BSS.

Ureya, during a meeting with Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi at his ministry office in the capital, said development activities of Bangladesh is visible and business people of Kosovo are interested to invest in Bangladesh's special economic zone (SEZ).

Mentioning the exchange of mutual visit of businessmen of both the countries could ease the investment process, the new envoy of East European country said: "An agreement to this end could encourage businessmen of both sides for trade and investment."

Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi told the ambassador that Bangladesh is now an attracting place for investment that is why different countries are moving forward to invest in the South Asian country.

Highlighting the ongoing quick progress of developing 100 SEZs across the country by the initiative of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Tipu Munshi said Kosovo's businesses would be benefited by investing in the SEZs here.

He assured the envoy that Bangladesh would provide all types of cooperation to the Kosovo's investors.
