KPMG, dataedge sign MoU for IT cooperation

Rahman Rahman Huq Chartered Accountants (KPMG in Bangladesh) and data edge limited (dataedge) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly explore mutually beneficial business engagements on Microsoft technologies and other IT advisory-related opportunities in Bangladesh.
Ali Ashfaq, partner of Rahman Rahman Huq (RRH) and Zahoor Hossain Mahmud, Head of Strategic Business Unit signed the MOU on behalf of the KPMG Bangladesh and dataedge respectively, said a press release on Wednesday.
Founded in 1962, Rahman Rahman Huq provides audit, tax and advisory services. RRH works for a broad group of clients, both international and domestic companies with concentration in large and medium-sized enterprises, non-profit organisations and government institutions.
dataedge is a well-known name in the information and communications technology (ICT) service industry of Bangladesh. The company has been providing ICT consulting, system integration and development services to a wide array of clients since 2002.
Its signature projects include machine readable passport and visa project (MRP/V) of Bangladesh, Bangladesh Automated Cheque Processing System (BACPS) and Bangladesh Electronic Funds Transfer Network (BEFTN) and implementation of core banking software for several commercial banks of Bangladesh.
