KWASA to launch bottled water plant in Feb

The Bottled Water Treatment Plant (BWTP) of Khulna Water and Sewerage Authority (KWASA) will be launched next month (February). KWASA would also start selling the bottled water in the same month.

"The BWTP will go into experimental production this month and commercial production in next month," a KWASA official said, reports BSS.

KWASA sources said 95 per cent work on the plant being built in the city's Mujgunni area has been completed and remaining works would be completed by the middle of this month.

The sources said the plant will produce over 6,000 litres of safe drinking water, with a brand name of 'Sundarban' every day and earn huge revenue.
