Kyrgyzstan willing to take skilled manpower from BD

Visiting Kyrgyz dy. minister says after meeting with Salman F Rahman

Prime Minister's Private Industry and Investment Adviser Salman F Rahman held a meeting with Deputy Foreign Minister of the Kyrgyzstan Republic Avazbek Atakhanov at the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) Bhaban in the city on Monday.

Kyrgyzstan is willing to take skilled manpower from Bangladesh to employ them in its export-oriented industries.

Deputy Foreign Minister of the Kyrgyzstan Republic Avazbek Atakhanov said this at the end of his meeting with Prime Minister's Private Industry and Investment Adviser Salman F Rahman at the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) Bhaban in the city on Monday, according to a press release.

Besides, the Muslim-dominated country in central Asia also wants to strengthen economic relations with Bangladesh.

Mr Salman Rahman said there is an opportunity to increase cooperation between the two countries in various sectors, including ready-made garments, agriculture and information technology.

"There are many opportunities to increase economic relations between the two countries. Around 1,000 medical students from Bangladesh are studying in Kyrgystan. That country expects more students from Bangladesh," he added.

During the briefing, Avazbek Atakhanov lauded the ongoing socio-economic development of Bangladesh and expressed interest in taking workers from Bangladesh to engage in his country's production-oriented industries.
