LAUGFS Gas Bangladesh has stepped into its third year of operation in Bangladesh with a pledge to make significant investment in the country in the next three years.
In celebration of its second anniversary in Bangladesh, the Sri Lankan giant hosted a dinner for its key stakeholders at a Dhaka hotel recently, says a statement.
Executive Chairman of Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) Kazi M. Aminul Islam was present as the chief guest.
LAUGFS Holdings Chairman WKH Wegapitiya flew to Dhaka to join the programme, also attended by high officials of LAUGFS Gas Bangladesh, a part of the diversified multinational LAUGFS Holdings based in Colombo.
LAUGFS Gas Bangladesh currently operates a world-class LPG import, bottling and distribution facility in Mongla Port. The company imports and distributes over 50,000 MT of LPG every year and operates an expansive and a fast growing distribution network across Bangladesh.
LAUGFS Gas in as an energy conglomerate with a strong footprint within the region to make significant investment in Bangladesh over the next three years for capacity enhancement, expanding storage volume, setting up a cylinder manufacturing plant as well as expanding the distribution centre.
LAUGFS Gas is also the first and only LPG operator in Bangladesh bringing in imported LPG directly from the source on its own sea vessel, Gas Courage.
