Local assembling will help the country's light engineering sector flourish, which can also add value to imported automobiles.
Abdul Matlub Ahmad, chairman of Nitol-Noloy Group, expressed this optimism at a press conference ahead of the three-day motor and bike show in the city Wednesday.
CEMS Bangladesh is going to organise the motor show, which would be held from 9 April to 11 April at International Convention City in Bashundhara.
A total of 14 countries of the world including US, UK, Taiwan, Japan, India and Malaysia are participating in the motor show that they will showcase their automobiles and other motor related products.
Over 400 booths the other showcasing and service providing products are lubricants, CNG conversion companies, automotive component manufacturing and some other many new technology based products.
Obaidul Quader, road transport and bridges minister, is expected to be present as chief guest at the opening ceremony of the show.
FBCCI president Kazi Akram Uddin Ahmed and DCCI president Hossain Khaled are expected to attend the ceremony as special guests.
The title sponsor company Nitol-Niloy Chairman said "We are trying to use local spares in the assembling factories."
Nitol-Noloy Group is the title sponsor of the three day long Nitol-Niloy Dhaka Motor Show 2015 & Dhaka Bike Show 2015.
