The International Trade Centre (ITC) is going to organise three Business-to-Business (B2B) events in Europe this month under Netherlands Trust Fund-III Bangladesh project, reports BSS.
The events, focusing on IT & ITES industry, will be held in London on November 11, in Copenhagen on November 19 and in Amsterdam on December 3.
A total of 38 Bangladeshi IT and ITES companies will take part in the event to meet with European buyers for exploring outsourcing business opportunities to Bangladesh.
Bangladesh Association of Software & Information Services (BASIS) and Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) are cooperating to organise the event.
"Building on the work done under the previous NTF-II project, the NTF-III Bangladesh project will also organise B2B events in Europe and Bangladesh throughout the project until mid-2017", said M Mahfuzul Quader, national project coordinator of NTF-III Bangladesh Project.
The B2B event would help to increase Bangladesh's IT and ITES exports and offer business-development opportunities to Bangladeshi companies, that would pave the way for more employment of young people, in particular women.
"The Bangladeshi companies, who are taking part in the B2B events, could able to make all success out of it towards achieving our One Bangladesh target," said Shameem Ahsan, BASIS president.
ITC is planning to organise similar B2B events through mobilising trade delegations from the UK, Denmark and the Netherlands to Digital World 2015 in the beginning of next year. NTF-III Bangladesh Project is funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs through the CBI (Centre for the Promotion of Imports from developing countries).
