Meghna Bank PLC has promoted its Deputy Managing Director Md. Sadiqur Rahman to Additional Managing Director (AMD).
Prior to this elevation, he also held the role of Managing Director & CEO (Current Charge), says a press statement.
Mr. Rahman is a seasoned banking professional with 28 years of diversified experience in branch banking, retail & SME banking, treasury, credit, foreign exchange, ALM, treasury risk management, capital market operations and Islamic banking.
He has been a key member of the bank's MANCOM, ALCO, SMT, CRMC, RMC and Investment Committee. He has also been serving as Director and TREC Holder Representative of Meghna Bank Securities Ltd. since its inception.
Mr. Rahman started off his banking career at Sonali Bank in 1998 as senior officer under BRC. Later, he held several pivotal leadership positions at AB Bank Limited. Since joining Meghna Bank PLC in 2013, he has played an instrumental role in driving the bank's growth, operational excellence and strategic advancements.
He holds an MBA from the University of Dhaka, MBM and DAIBB, alongside multiple professional certifications, including CERM, CECM, CEAF, CIBFP, CPSME, CSAA and DIB.
