MetLife Bangladesh settles Tk 28.53b in claims last year

MetLife Bangladesh settled Tk 28.53 billion in insurance claims in 2025, reinforcing its position as the country's leading life insurer in claims settlement.

This amount includes the money customers received as insurance benefits and claims for loss of life and medical needs, says a press release.

During the year, MetLife Bangladesh maintained an impressive claims settlement ratio of 98 per cent, one of the highest in the industry.

Of the total claims settled, Tk 3.13 billion was paid in health and medical claims; Tk 1.10 billion in death claims; and Tk 24.30 billion in maturity, partial maturity, and other claims.

MetLife Bangladesh continues to settle the highest volume of claims among all life insurers in the country. The company settled Tk 28.95 billion in claims in 2024, Tk 29.81 billion in 2023, and Tk 25.48 billion in 2022.
