Milk Vita, FAO distribute milk among kids in Ctg

CHITTAGONG, June 10: The Milk Vita and the FAO (Food and Agricultural Organisation) jointly distributed milk among the school children in the port city today.

The milk was distributed marking the World Milk Day. At least 1,000 school kids were given liquid milk to drink.

Speaking on the occasion, Managing Director of the Milk Vita Magistrate Munir Chowdhury requested the well-off people of the society to feed milk to the poor children by cutting cost in their family and social functions.

He further called upon businesses, industrialists and social elite to come forward with helping hands to implement the milk distribution programmes.

Vice Chancellor of Premier University Dr Anupam Sen was present at the programme as the chief guest, while Chairman of Children Surgery Department of Chittagong Medical College and Hospital Dr Tahmina Banu and Country Representative of FAO Mike Robson were the special guests.
