Mitsubishi to help set up fertiliser factory in Bhola

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd, a renowned Japanese company, has expressed its keenness to cooperate in setting up a fertiliser factory in Bhola, reports BSS.

A delegation of the Japanese company, led by Project Manager of the Ghorashal-Polash Urea Fertiliser Project Yuichi Sayama, expressed its interest during a meeting with Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun at the Industries Ministry in the city on Sunday, said a press release.

Humayun said that the government was conducting a feasibility study for building a fertiliser factory in Bhola.

"We have a plan to set up a fertiliser factory in Bhola like Ghorashal-Polash Urea Fertiliser factory. The proposed factory's annual production capacity would be 500,000 tonnes," he added.
