The statistics showed that most of the agencies of the ministry are facing severe manpower shortage.

"The authorities concerned have been informed of the manpower shortage of the MoA and its agencies," he said adding that necessary measures are being taken immediately to fill up the required manpower, official sources said

The process of appointment to fill the vacant posts of the ministry and different agencies is going on smoothly and this will finish soon, they said.

The departments concerned under the ministry hope to increase speed of operation after getting necessary manpower in the future, officials said.

The ministry has taken a decision to fill up the vacant posts with 'highest carefulness and following exiting laws and regulations properly,' sources said.

In the meeting, chiefs of the departments explained the progress in filling up the vacant posts. The officer presiding over the last coordination meeting laid emphasis on filling up the posts following the rules and regulations, a meeting source said.

He requested the chiefs of the agencies under the Ministry of Agriculture to fill the vacancies soon for the sake of 'improved official work.' He mentioned that the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) is regularly monitoring the situation.
